Child Development Practitioner Apprenticeship Program - ECE Diploma Pathway
Training takes place predominantly on the job and apprentices earn while they learn. In-school instruction is the primary means for delivering the theoretical component of apprenticeship training. Students must be enrolled through the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) - Apprenticeship Branch. More information is available at the Ministry website Employment Ontario or by calling Employment Ontario 1.800.387.5656. Courses are offered part-time through distance education.
Students enrolled in the Child Development Practitioner (CDP) Apprenticeship Program with Canadore College will have the opportunity to earn an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Diploma by completing three additional general education (GED) courses. Please contact the Office of Admissions to discuss GED options for your program.
