This course is the second part of a three-part Gas Technician 3 program that provides the entry-level theory leading to employment in areas related to the natural gas and propane industry. Prerequisite: GAS300
This course is the second of two theoretical training courses in the Gas Technician 3 program at Canadore College. The course focusses on topics from Modules 1 to 9 in the Technical Standards and Safety Authority approved curriculum, which has been adopted as the minimum standard for the training and certification of gas technicians in the Province of Ontario. Topics will include safety, fasteners, hand and power tools, fuel properties and safe handling, installation codes, acts and regulations, electricity, technical skills (manuals, specifications, schematics, drawings, graphs), customer relations, piping and tubing systems, and an introduction to gas appliances. |
